Providing a real alternative for adolescents, who need a different kind of school
Port is an independent school that serves students who have not been able to achieve success in mainstream
school settings. The students at Port are successful because the school operates in very different ways to most schools.
Upon enrolment at Port School, each student undertakes an ACER test that informs us of their literacy and numeracy skills. The ACER Compass testing is a computer-based assessment of core reading and numeracy skills specifically designed for disengaged and educationally marginalised young people and adults.
