Enrolling at Port
The purpose of a CARE school is to re-engage young people between 13 and 20 years in education and training. The Port School student body is made up of young people who may:
- Be excluded or are in the process of being excluded from a mainstream school.
- Refuse to attend a mainstream school due to a variety of reasons.
- Have an involvement or history with the Justice Department and a variety of support agencies or who are completely isolated from all support by choice.
- Be pregnant or parenting.
Parents/guardians/carers (referred to as ‘parents’) interested in enrolling a student at Port School should initially call the Business Manager on 9335 6323. Details regarding the student and their background will be requested at this time.
