Enrolling at Port

The purpose of a CARE school is to re-engage young people between 13 and 20 years in education and training. The Port School student body is made up of young people who may:

  • Be excluded or are in the process of being excluded from a mainstream school.
  • Refuse to attend a mainstream school due to a variety of reasons.
  • Have an involvement or history with the Justice Department and a variety of support agencies or who are completely isolated from all support by choice.
  • Be pregnant or parenting.

Parents/guardians/carers (referred to as ‘parents’) interested in enrolling a student at Port School should initially call the Business Manager on 9335 6323.  Details regarding the student and their background will be requested at this time.
