Port School Awards 2019

Today we celebrated the achievements of Port students in 2019. Students were recognised for their hard work and received a range of Awards and Scholarships.  Certificates I, II, III & IV’s in a number of disciplines, signed certificates from the Governor of Western Australia, The Honourable Kim Beazley AC, as well as Middle & Upper School Citizenship and Awards of Recognition were presented by state and federal members Simone McGurk and Josh Wilson. Before an assembly of 160 students and guests, an emotional Principal Barry Finch congratulated students on their successes. Deputy Principal Mike Gilbert reflected on 2019’s achievements and the Port School governing body chairperson, Anne Gee,  talked about the students educational journey and pathway at Port.

Thanks to you all for supporting these young people on their journey. The Port School community has truly embraced the African proverb and ethos of, “It takes a village to raise a child”.  Congratulations and well done to all the Award and Scholarship recipients.
